Not so many
The NYTimes issued a correction on its editorial page today.
An editorial last Friday supporting a Supreme Court decision that bans execution of the retarded stated incorrectly that apart from the United States, only Kyrgyzstan and Japan permit the death penalty for retarded convicts. The law in Kyrgyzstan prohibits the execution of the retarded.That makes me feel so much better; I was so embarassed for Kyrgyzstan. Posted by james at June 26, 2002 2:08 PM
