Yay...always love seeing mourning dove. I had a chat with my parents last night in which my pops updated me on the dove hunting they've been doing in Virginia. I know that seems horrible to some folks, but it is interesting to learn that mourning dove populations have rebounded since the mid-90s, when they declined rather dramatically. Apparently the species is producing more clutches this year, which is good news for those of us who like to see them, whatever our impetus.
